Objects must extend groundwater extraction permits
 

All national and foreign enterprises in the territory of Vietnam, manufacturing facilities, businesses, services would like to exploit and use groundwater.
Establishments, enterprises that use groundwater or groundwater extraction project without registration of groundwater extraction permits.

Note: Documents for extension of underground water exploitation licenses are submitted directly to Natural Resources and Environment Department.

Required documents when applying for extension of groundwater permit 

  • Application for extension of underground water exploitation permit (Form No. 02-a/GDNDD). 
  • Permits have been granted.
  • Results of water quality analysis are as prescribed by government at the time of application for license renewal. 
  • Report of work have done according to provisions of the  granted license (Form No. 02-b /GDNDD).
  • Number of records: 02 (sets).

Legal basis for extension of groundwater extraction permits

  • Water Resources Law dated May 20, 1998.
  • Decree No. 149/2004/ND-CP dated July 27, 2004 on licensing of exploration, exploitation and use of water resources, discharging of wastewater into water sources.
  • Circular No. 02/2005/TT-BTNMT dated June 24, 2005 of Ministry on guiding the implementation of Decree No. 49/2004/ND-CP dated July 27, 2004 on licensing of exploration, exploitation and use of water resources, discharging wastewater into water sources.

Agencies receiving and approving application for extension of underground water exploitation

  • Competent agencies: People's Committee of province, district, suburban district . 
  • Agencies or competent persons authorized or decentralized to implement: Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
  • Directly implementing agencies: Register office of land use right.
  • Coordinating agencies: Department of Water Resources Management - Hydrometeorological.

Note: Settling time when receiving document for extend groundwater extraction permit is 10 working days from the date of receipt of a valid application.
